JAMB SET FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE OF RESULTS AFTER EXAMINATIONS

The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board said on Monday that it was working towards releasing result of examinations the day they were taken. JAMB Registrar Prof. Dibu Ojerinde said in Abuja that “We are working towards releasing results hours after the examination are concluded. “The target is to eventually adopt E-Examination where candidates get their results almost immediately after finishing”.

He also said the plan was to ensure efficiency and to correct the erroneous impression that scores of candidates were actually inflated. Ojerinde said the quick release of the Monotechnics, Polytechnics and Colleges of Matriculation Examination was a pointer that the plan was attainable. He said “You will recall that during the conduct of the examination on August 23, I did promise that the results would be released as soon as possible.

“We have lived up to that promise by releasing the results on August 29 about a week after they were conducted”.
